While Western Washington typically boasts warm, dry summers, there are sometimes rainy days that make outdoor fun more difficult. But Lewis County does offer some indoor fun, too:

East Lewis County has one place to bowl and that’s Victory Lanes in Morton. Owners John and Angie Doucette remodeled the 12-lane bowling alley, which also offers an outdoor go-cart track during the spring and summer months. Future plans include batting cages and bumper boats. Cost to bowl is $2.50 per game for adults, $2 per game for children. Shoe rental costs $1. Hours are from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and from noon to midnight Friday and Saturday. The lanes are closed Monday and Thursday.

After sustaining extensive flood damage last December, Fairway Lanes in Centralia is undergoing complete renovations, and hopes to reopen in June. When completed, the bowling alley will have 16 lanes and a party room. Call for hours, prices and opening dates.
This 1940s-era bowling alley has the distinction of being the oldest in the city. Cost to roll a ball on one of the alley’s eight lanes is $2.75 a game, and a pair of shoes will cost $1.50 to rent. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday, and from noon to 1 a.m. Saturday. Summer hours will begin in June and will be from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from noon to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Bowling fans have the opportunity to take to the lanes four nights a week at Chehalis Bowl. The alley is open from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, 4 p.m. to midnight on Friday, 11 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Chehalis Bowl also offers Rock ‘n Bowl every Friday and Saturday from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. Cost is $3 per game for adults, and $2.50 a game for senior citizens and children. Shoe rental is $1.50.
BingoBingo at Forest Grange, 3397 Jackson Highway, Chehalis, 748-4712
Bingo lovers can drop in twice a week at Forest Grange in Chehalis, and help raise money for the 104-year-old Grange and other Lewis County charities. Doors open every Wednesday and Sunday at 4 p.m., and the first game begins at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $4 per packet. The Grange kitchen opens at 5 p.m., and serves hamburgers, Polish sausages, chicken strips, nachos, fries, chili and soup.
