‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’

By The Chronicle

Southwest Washington locals on Saturday gathered in Chehalis to enjoy the annual “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” celebration. In downtown Chehalis, attendees strolled through displays of classic cars, as part of the Chariots Car Clubs Sixth Annual show, and perused artwork, created by ARTtrails artists.

At the Lewis County Historical Museum, blueberry pancakes, prepared by the Lewis County commissioners, and hot dogs were for sale; at the Veterans Memorial Museum attendees could see, touch and ride in military vehicles and take trolley rides to the historical museum and the Centralia-Chehalis airport, where youngsters enjoyed free flights.
